High school teacher Britte Olafsson has found herself unexpectedly drawn to the new principal (and ex-Marine) Joel Kingsley. His intense self-discipline matches her own, and when trouble at school erupts, he strongly moves to support her. Despite the fact that friends and a fiancé have left her in the past, Britte tentatively begins to open her heart to him. Even as Britte and Joel find their way, coach Anne Sutton and her husband of 17 years find their family disintegrating.
