Summary:
Three novels about Pippi Longstocking, a high-spirited girl with red braids and superhuman strength who lives every child's ultimate fantasy--escape from parental supervision in a world without rules. Pippi lives in a house called Villa Villekula with a horse, her monkey, Mr. Nilsson, and a suitcase full of gold coins. Accompanied by her conspicuously normal friends, Tommy and Annika, Pippi finds herself caught up in wild, hilarious adventures, whether she's facing down the conventional expectations of her small-town neighbors or traveling to the South Seas in search of her father, a supposed "cannibal king."
