He quicklyunderstands that his wife's security depends on him returning to his formerlife as Israel's best assassin. David discovers the old reflexes of theassassin's game and uses his very special tradecraft to navigate his waythrough a trail of violence, but he realizes that this path must endwith him taking down a high-priority target. After a number of Israelioperations have failed to kill the brilliant Iranian scientist who coulddevelop a nuclear missile for his country, David's former employers in Israelimilitary intelligence plan to use him as their final alternative. A former Israeli assassin is forced back into the game in this sequel to The Perfect Assassin (2006). Iran is on the verge of developing a nuclear missile, which, when completed, will be used on Israel. Every mission sent to take out the scientist responsible for the weapon is met with resistance, suggesting a traitor on the inside. David Slaton, asked by his former boss at Mossad to assist with the mission, at first refuses, but when his wife is attacked, the terms change. The intensity increases as the pages fly.
