Summary

Persephone learns that it's ok to stand up for herself in the second book in the Goddess Girls series!

Persephone usually goes along with whatever everyone else wants instead of doing what makes her happy. So when she meets Mount Olympus Academy bad-boy Hades, she finally feels like she has found someone with whom she can be herself. But her mom (Ceres) and her friends don't exactly approve. If Hades can make her feel so special, is he really that bad, or just misunderstood?

Author Notes

Author Joan Holub graduated from college in Texas with a fine arts degree. She illustrated her first published children's book in 1992 and began illustrating full time, shortly thereafter. She sold her first two manuscripts in 1996 and has since become a full time author. She has written and/or illustrated over 130 children's books, including the Goddess Girls and Heroes in Training Series. Her title Mighty Dads, illustrated by James Dean, made the New York Times bestseller list in 2014.

New student Athena can't wait to rise to fresh challenges but must first deal with the ultimate mean-girl, Medusa; all-too-agreeable Persephone finds herself "going along to get along" until she meets school bad boy Hades.
