Best friends Jessie, Gabriela, and Claire all have moments in their past that they wish they could go back and change. While in Las Vegas to celebrate their 50th birthdays, the friends are given the chance to return to ten years ago, to the year they turned 40, to try to fix the things they regret and alter their lives. Jessie hopes to save her marriage by hiding that she conceived her son with another man; Gabriela wants to have a baby, even if it puts her successful writing career at risk; and Claire longs to connect with her mother before it's too late. What they discover, though, is that change cannot be made without consequences. Lisa Larsen does a fantastic job voicing the joy and heartbreak the characters experience. VERDICT Patrons who enjoy reading about women's friendships or characters who get a "redo" will want to pick this up.
