John Schlipp is an intellectual property librarian and professor at W. Frank Steely Library at Northern Kentucky University. He manages the Intellectual Property Awareness Center, which represents the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Schlipp won the 2011 Kentucky Library Association's Kentucky Librarians Outstanding Feature Article award for his article entitled "Creative Thinking: A Student-Centered Approach to Plagiarism and Copyright." His contributions include scholarly articles, book reviews, and an online intellectual property awareness program for teens titled Creative Thinking. He is associate editor of the Encyclopedia of Northern Kentucky.
