Description:
This portrait was included in Carole Glauber's book, "Witch of Kodakery: the photography of Myra Albert Wiggins." The members of the wedding party were identified in the book & in the local newspaper article as: standing L to R Agnes Earhart, Dr. Frank Gifford, Harry Singleton, Fred Wiggins, Myra Albert Wiggins, Jesse Dalrymple, Mary Albert (Bride's mother). Seated L to R: Otto Wilson, Blanche Albert (Maid of Honor), Clarence Hamilton (Best Man), Joseph Albert (Bride's brother) and John Albert (Bride's father). There were about 200 guests at the wedding reception in the Albert home. The new Mrs. Wiggins took the wedding portrait herself, managing to set up the shot and run into the picture in time to look very composed. Two years later, in 1896, a wedding portrait in the same spot was taken. Blanche Albert was the bride and George F. Rodgers the groom and it is strikingly similar to this portrait, and although not identified as such on the Library's copy, was probably taken by Myra Albert Wiggins.
